Birthday blues !
At 29, I feel am at halfway mark through life going by the average life span of 60–70 assuming all goes right.
If we consider the initial 10 years and the final 5 years of life as “not of great use”, that hardly leaves us with little more than half a century as “usable” time.
Discounting the time spent in sleep and other “homeostatic” activities such as work / routines to maintain ourselves and the family, we are left with probably 6 or so hours per day to pursue what we like as an individual.
Considering the overall haziness and improbability of a great “afterlife” as marketed by various entities, the available time is very limited especially compared to the lifespan of our planet or the universe (billions of year with a B!).
This leads to a serious question as to what we choose to do with our “most precious” commodity, will we while it away with useless arguments of which one is a better race/ religion, watch mind numbing TV debates, spend days together on endless re runs of sitcoms / sports / social media ?
Well, if you ask me everyone has a choice, I feel its best put to use to learn more about things and people around us through books and non fiction science documentaries on curiosity stream or maybe learning a skill as cooking or a new language.
But again, who am I to suggest, just my thoughts sir, just my thoughts 💭
Peace ☮️ ✌️
